Programme Duration and Delivery
This programme is delivered part-time in the evening or during the day or both. It is timetabled to suit the needs and lifestyles of our learners. In addition to class-time hours of directed learning with support from tutors and college staff, learners are expected to invest an additional 100 hours (approximately) in self-directed learning. We offer online/blended and face-to-face learning. Our programme schedule is available here.
The RSG Flexible Learning College is here to support learners, help and assist with queries or difficulties. The College also offers the option of additional computer training for anyone with little to no computer skills. Tutors provide one to one training and mentoring.
A deposit of €100 is required to confirm a place on the programme. We collect fees before the commencement of each module and all fees must be discharged in full within 3 weeks of commencement of a module. Fees can also be paid by instalments: agreed with the College before commencement.
You can book and pay for our courses using the following methods:
- Online here
- EFT (Electronic Funds transfer)
- We also accept payment by cash at registration
Learners can apply to the Local DEAP office to check eligibility for funding
To access the programmes learners should have a reasonable standard of education. A Level 4 in Healthcare is desirable but not a requirement. Learners have enrolled on this course with no prior experience and have achieved their majors and progressed onto work and additional training
Access Transfer and Progression
Achievement of an award on the NFQ enables our learners to transfer or progress to related programmes leading to awards at the same or higher levels of the NFQ. We provide learners with advice and information about transfer and progression opportunities following the successful completion of a programme with us.
Protection of Enrolled Learners (Part 6 of the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012)
As a provider of programmes more than 3 months in duration, we are subject to Part 6 of the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012. This means that, if for any reason, we are unable to continue to provide the programme you are enrolled on, we have arrangements in place with alternative providers for enrolled learners to transfer to a similar programme provided by the alternative provider. If we need to do this, we need to share the learner information we hold on you with QQI and the alternative provider. This does not infringe the Data Protection Act 1988 and 2003. If you would like to discuss these arrangements further, or if you have any questions please contact the Programme Facilitator at RSG Flexible Learning College on 086 166 8428 or email us.

We engage with highly experience tutors in their field to deliver our programmes and in the provision of a supportive environment that allows them to carry out their work effectively in the learning process.
